At first glance I honestly thought someone just pasted a cropped photograph of a Substitute Pokédoll into the screenshot as a joke.

This is exactly how I react upon realizing (or being told that) someone wants to sleep with me.

Sophia the vibrava wants to show Merzie the Dratini how she feels about her! So she’s got her a little flower, but Merzie seems to be a bit shy about it <3 Love is in the air!

Is that giant shell to hide a Super Nintendo and TV necessary?
This strikes me as a bit anachronistic since by the time Gold and Silver were out in the US, the Super NES seemed like ancient history.
Heck, the SNES references in Pokémon Red and Blue struck me as a “throwback” at the time.
But actually this console is pretty useful, it lets Nintendo/GameFreak transport and set up the entire unit for events or lease it out to retailers to put in their stores much easier than if they carried around a Super Famicom, a TV, and whatever special equipment the game cartridge is being inserted into, and I’m guessing this is CUSTOM hardware given as Pokémon Crystal (to my knowledge) can’t normally interface with the Super NES via the Super GameBoy or anything like that.
I’m guessing this has some relation to why the Super GameBoy frame on the monitor says “Gold Version” when the cartridge being used is very plainly Crystal Version.
I just confirmed a stock SNES can’t play Pokémon Crystal through the Super GameBoy. I did get a really cute specific error message, though. The word Crystal in the error was spelled out with Unown. Here it is on an emulator:
THE PLOT THICKENS! :O
trying to make myself sleepy.
random old espeon and young umbreon i guess??
The Umbreon has a thing for older guys but that Espeon is having none of it and just wants to meditate peacefully.
At least that’s how I perceived this.
Here it is guys. The cutest episode of Wind & Rain ever.
No struggles for survival, no political intrigue in the Pokémon League, no corporate conspiracies, just three kids and their Pokémon on a cutesy, low stress adventure through a generic forest on their way to the next gym badge.
Sound familiar? Don’t worry, it’s intentional. :P
I’ve been looking forward to this for so long, it was a blast finally getting to write it.
Though Merzie’s made several “cameo” appearances as a Dragonair in the present in Episodes 5, 9, and 13, her first “proper” introduction and speaking role is in this extended flashback explaining how Shania caught Merzie to begin with.
Come to think of it, this is Sophie’s first “proper” appearance here too. Everything featuring Sophie so far has been not so fun times. :<
But yeah, here you go, hope you enjoy it!
Oh, and this will be a two parter, as evidenced by the title.
I always get super motivated to draw Pokemon after looking at Pokemon card art, haha <3
I see this “trending” on my dashboard right before bed WHAAT.
Sometimes I forget Quilava usually stand on all fours.
